that describes individuals\u2019 promotion and prevention focus. While promotion-focused individuals strive for maximizing gains, prevention-focused individuals strive for minimizing losses. As CEO communication is especially relevant during strategic changes, when fundamental processes and beliefs are affected and employees need sense-making and meaning-making contributions, the paper analyzes the regulatory focus of CEO letters to shareholders in annual reports and links it to the intensity of change that the organization is currently executing. The paper first develops existing analysis tools further and examines regulatory focus of CEOs as well as the type of change qualitatively from annual reports. Secondly, the paper ties the intensity of change to the CEO regulatory focus quantitatively. Results indicate a persistence of both promotion as well as prevention elements in CEO letters to shareholders. I contribute to the literature by explicitly analyzing the strict-exogeneity assumption of the fixed-effects and first-differences estimators in empirical practice. Dabei wurden f\u00fcr die Erhebung der Daten mehrere Experteninterviews mit F\u00fchrungspersonen, die in verschiedenen B\u00fcroraumkonzepten arbeiten, durchgef\u00fchrt und danach mittels qualitativer Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet. Die aus der Fallstudie gewonnenen Erkenntnisse wurden anschliessend mit bestehender Literatur in Verbindung gebracht, mit dem Ziel, Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen den untersuchten F\u00fchrungspersonen und bestehenden Ergebnissen, die mehrheitlich auf der gesamten Mitarbeiterbelegung basieren, zu identifizieren.<\/p>\n<p>Aus den Untersuchungen kann die Erkenntnis gewonnen werden, dass ein Grossteil der bestehenden Ergebnisse auch auf die untersuchten F\u00fchrungspersonen zutrifft. Allerdings k\u00f6nnen vor allem hinsichtlich der Interaktion und Privatheit in B\u00fcror\u00e4umen Unterschiede in den Faktoren aufgezeigt werden, welche der Zufriedenheit von F\u00fchrungskr\u00e4ften zugrunde liegen. Die Arbeitsplatzzufriedenheit von F\u00fchrungspersonen h\u00e4ngt massgeblich davon ab, ob ihr B\u00fcro ihre Arbeitst\u00e4tigkeit und Kommunikation mit dem Team ausreichend gut unterst\u00fctzt. On the one hand, it is of interest to reveal the nature of UCD, especially in terms of the methods used, the types of users involved and the stages the involvement takes place. On the other hand, this paper aims to find out about the success of UCD projects as well as the organizational context that is beneficial for UCD. To do so, several streams of scientific literature in the field of UCD as well as organization theory are reviewed and the results of an empirical study conducted among UCD experts in Germany are analyzed. The theoretically derived characteristics could mainly be confirmed by the insights of the study. Moreover, several hypotheses concerning the influence of the organizational context using established constructs (IT competence, UCD competence, customer orientation, innovativeness, exploration and exploitation as well as the top management team) towards the project success in an UCD setup are proposed and tested by the means of a multiple factor analysis. By analyzing open comments concerning the facilitators and obstacles of UCD activities deeper insight into the daily business of UCD experts can be gained. A comparison between two subsamples split according to their project success score yield interesting results concerning different motives, types of integrated users and the locus of the user integration. Kognitive Verzerrungen entstehen aufgrund der kognitiven Limitierungen, denen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger angesichts der hohen Komplexit\u00e4t und Unsicherheit strategischer Entscheidungen ausgesetzt sind.<br \/>\nDie vorliegende Arbeit gibt einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber wesentliche kognitive Verzerrungen, die den strategischen Entscheidungsprozess beeinflussen k\u00f6nnen. Dazu wird durch eine systematische Auswertung hochqualitativer Zeitschriften der aktuelle Forschungsstand heraus- gearbeitet und dargestellt. Unter Einbeziehung kognitionspsychologischer Forschungsergebnisse wird entlang eines idealtypischen strategischen Entscheidungsprozesses erl\u00e4utert, wie sich kognitive Verzerrungen auf die einzelnen Phasen strategischer Entscheidungen auswirken k\u00f6nnen. Es wird deutlich, dass Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger in strategischen Entscheidungssituationen zahlreichen kognitiven Verzerrungen unterliegen, die mitunter zu schweren Fehlentscheidungen f\u00fchren k\u00f6nnen.
