Research and Teaching Assistant / PhD Candidate (m/f) (Standard German pay scale, TV/L 13, 100%)
The position is initially for two years with an option to extend, with a starting date to be arranged based on mutual agreement.
The Institute for Innovation Management (IIM) at the Munich School of Management, LMU Munich, conducts academically-rigorous and practically-relevant research and teaching in the domain of innovation management, building on our principal tenets of interdisciplinarity and multimethodology. We present our research at international conferences and publish in leading journals, offering access to an international research network.
As part of our team, candidates will conduct theory-based empirical research in the domain of innovation management in close collaboration with Professor Spanjol and with other team members. Candidates will also gain experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and seminars, and support students in thesis work. An opportunity to earn a doctoral degree exists.
You hold a superior academic record and Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Healthcare Management, or a field related to innovation management. Methodological experience in one or more techniques (e.g., experimental design and analysis, ethnography/netnography, structural equation modeling, or other) is highly desirable. Prior work experience in a related domain is advantageous.
You are intellectually curious, possess strong analytical capabilities, and a strong interest in conducting theoretically-grounded, managerially-meaningful empirical research in the domain of innovation management. You add to our team strong organizational skills, are proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrate perseverance through challenges, and possess excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
